WELCOME TO HATTER'S HOLLER
A safe haven

Life is not always kind.  Sometimes, it is more than we can bear and the simple act of getting out of bed is just too much...  So often, we find ourselves in turmoil and we want to reach out but even that is difficult...   These difficult times can come in many ways and out of nowhere.  They can come more than once bringing with them various degrees of loneliness, uncertainty, sadness, pain and even fear.  It can be due to illness, stressful life situations, abusive relationships, financial difficulties, just a bad day and/or depression...    You get it, right?  The list goes on and on.

Hatter's Holler is a private club which was established in January,
2021 amongst family and friends for the sole purpose of having a gathering place for 'down time'.  A place where we could get together, relax, have fun and feel safe.

The definition of respite is "a short period of rest or relief from something difficult or unpleasant"

The goal at Hatter's Holler is twofold;

1)   To provide members a place to gather, relax, enjoy company of other members and to host various events which celebrate a milestone or anything representing something meaningful in our lives.
2.  To provide members and their family and close friends support if needed when going through difficult times.

OUR CREED
1.  As a Hatter's Holler member, we pledge that all topics of conversation taking place AT ANY TIME while on Hatter's Holler property remain confidential (unless otherwise noted by member initiating conversation or if the conversation causes concern regarding anyone's safety)
2.  As a member of Hatter's Holler we agree that if an individual in need seeks refuge or respite at Hatter's Holler, we will not disclose their location and we will listen  with compassion, empathy and confidentiality.  We will only listen and not judge.  A person in turmoil sometimes  only  needs the opportunity to open up and get whatever is bothering them out in the open before they can learn to face their problems and either resolve them on their own or ask for help if they feel they  can't.
3.  We agree to aid and assist a person in turmoil to the best of our ability and offer resolution if they are open to it.
Lastly, at all times we respect each other and listen to each other with patience, kindness and understanding.  Remember, we never know when it will be one of us that needs the very same support.

LET IT BE KNOWN that no member of this club is acting in any sort of professional capacity.  We are not doctors, nurses or therapists.  We are strictly an outlet and our goal is to enjoy our times together and to offer those in need 'One Safe Place'.
